National Night Out is a statewide holiday, traditionally celebrated on the first Tuesday in October, that aims to bring together members of the community and local law enforcement, according to the National Night Out website. These events range from full-blown block parties to law enforcement officials visiting neighborhoods.
There are numerous events happening around the Greater Houston area between Oct. 3-7.
THE WOODLANDS
Oct. 3: The Woodlands Police and Fire Department are encouraging residents to meet their neighbors during their National Night Out. Local officials will be stopping by any parties that are officially registered. 3-6 p.m. Free.
