All Greater Houston-area H-E-B locations are scheduled to close by 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 in preparation for Hurricane Laura, H-E-B officials announced Aug. 26.
"At H-E-B, our top priority is taking care of Texas," the release reads. "For 115 years, providing aid in times of need is the cornerstone of H-E-B's Helping Here philosophy, which promises to stand by communities during times of crisis. Our H-E-B team is closely monitoring all developments related to Hurricane Laura and our stores are prepared to take necessary actions to continue serving customers."
According to the news release, the following stores closed by noon Aug. 26 for the safety of customers and employees:
- H-E-B Plus!: 3025 N., Dowlen Road, Beaumont;
- H-E-B: 3590 College St., Beaumont;
- H-E-B: 819 N. Main St., Lumberton;
- H-E-B: 2424 N. 16th St., Orange;
- H-E-B: 5000 32nd St., Groves;
- H-E-B: 3401 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur;
- H-E-B: 4800 B. Hwy. 365, Port Arthur;
- H-E-B: 6430 Garth Road, Baytown;
- Joe V's Smart Shop: 3500 Garth Road, Baytown; and
- H-E-B: 13401 I-10 E., Mont Belvieu.
All other Greater Houston-area H-E-B, Mi Tienda and Central Market Houston locations will close by 6 p.m., the release states, while H-E-B fuel stations and pharmacies will follow store hours. Curbside and home delivery service windows are closed at Greater Houston-area stores until Aug. 28.
Current product limits are as follows:
- All H-E-B stores:
- Brisket: limit two
- Disinfecting and antibacterial sprays: limit two
- Disinfecting and antibacterial wipes: limit two
- Hydrogen peroxide: limit two
- Rubbing (Isopropyl) alcohol/swabs: limit two
- First aid and cleaning gloves: limit two
- Greater Houston-area stores:
- Water multipacks: limit four
- Baby water multipacks: limit four
