With all 157 voting precinct reporting across Harris County, voters now have a Republican and Democratic nominee for Harris County Judge after Lina Hidalgo announced she would not seek reelection to the position.
The breakdown
In a tight race for the Democratic nomination, former Houston City Council member Letitia Plummer beat former Houston mayor Annise Parker with 57,755 votes to Parker's 55,213 votes.
In the Republican runoff for the position, former Harris County treasurer Orlando Sanchez gained 85,132 votes against challenger Warren Howell, who only received 49,288 votes.
Plummer and Sanchez will now face each other on Nov. 3 in the general election for Harris County Judge.
In the Democratic runoff race for Harris County district clerk, Darrell Jordan, Jr. secured the nomination with 77,122 votes while challenger Jose "Alex" Maldonado received 32,116 votes.
Jordan will now face Republican Chris Daniel for the position on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Early runoff election results are in for the Democratic and Republican runoff elections in the races for Harris County judge and district clerk.
What you need to know
In the Democratic primary runoff election, former Houston City Council member Letitia Plummer is narrowly ahead of former Mayor Annise Parker with 34,694 votes to Parker's 34,447 votes, according to unofficial early voting results.
In the Republican primary runoff election, Orlando Sanchez is leading the race with 57,523 votes, while Warren A. Howell has 31,408 votes in unofficial early voting results.Some context
Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo formally announced in September that she will not seek reelection for a third term as judge of Texas’ largest county.
Hidalgo has served as county judge since 2019 and was reelected after winning the county seat during the November 2022 general election. Her current four-year term ends Dec. 31, 2026.

In the race for Harris County district clerk, Jose "Alex" Maldonado and Darrell Jordan Jr. are facing off for the Democratic nomination.
Jordan holds a lead with 48,329 votes in early voting, while Maldonado has 18,768 votes according to unofficial early voting results.
