Several places are offering spaces where kids can explore their creative interests after school in the Spring and Klein communities. From sports, music and dance, check out outlets for extracurricular activities children can partake in after school. All events are subject to change, and this list is not comprehensive.
Sports
Dominique Dawes Gymnastics & Ninja Academy
At the Dominique Dawes Academy, children can move, play, laugh, and learn gymnastics. From beginner classes to ninja warrior classes for kids, there's something for everyone. Programs offered range from recreational gymnastics and junior gymnastics to ninja and tumbling classes. The Academy expanded to the Spring area in August.
The Farm League
The Farm League offers several sport activity opportunities for children ages kindergarten to fifth grade, including baseball, soft ball, basket ball, volleyball, soccer and flag football.
Klein Soccer Club
Klein Soccer Club began in 1976 as a soccer program for children in northwest Harris County with 300 players, per the website, today the youth soccer program operates with 4,000 children participating in all levels of soccer. Programs offered include competitive soccer and recreational soccer. The recreational program is designed for boys and girls ages 3-15 and welcomes players of all experience levels.
Music
Allegro Music School
Founded by music director Chaiwat Rodsuwan in 1995, Allegro Music School offers violin, viola, cello, bass, piano and guitar lessons a month to month based period.
Suzuki Academy of Music Houston
Established in 1989, Suzuki Academy of Music Houston accepts students ages 3 and up at any level ranging from beginning to advanced. The music school teaches piano, violin and guitar private lessons.
Performing arts
Progressions Performing Art
Progressions Performing Art offers recreational and competitive dance training for all ages in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip-hop. Programs offered include the Young Dancers Program for children up to age 5, the progressions elite consisting of a composed of beginning levels through level 8 through a yearly audition process.
Vicki Michelle Dance Studio
Founded in 1994 by Vicki Michelle Kottwitz, Vicki Michelle Dance Studio offers dance classes including ballet, hip hop, jazz and musical theater. The dance school also promotes community engagement through collaborations with local dance studios.
Martial Arts
House of Dragons
House of Dragons offers martial arts classes for all ages. Programs offered include kids kick boxing, adult boxing and acrobatics.
