After years of serving Central Texas, general contractor Crossland Construction opened a new office in San Marcos in 2026.

“Being positioned on I-35 in San Marcos is a really big deal for us,” San Marcos division manager Mike Major said. “We are part of the Texas Triangle between Austin, San Antonio, Houston and DFW, so there's always going to be the industrial and distribution market that's going to come to this area, especially close to major highways. And with that, you will see more housing, general business, and retail developments—things that grow into those areas to help support the economy.”

Additionally, having a local team allows Crossland to spend more time on job sites, meet with clients in person and support national clients building in the Central Texas region.

“For our national clients, we now have the ability to be the boots on the ground and the eyes and ears for the people we partner with on a regular basis,” Major said.

Crossland is already working throughout the broader region, including a church in Horseshoe Bay and a fire station for the city of Georgetown, which broke ground on Aug. 28, 2026. Other projects are in development that the company will announce at a later date.
