TxDOT announces road closures through Dec. 9

The Texas Department of Transportation announced the following Austin-area road closures through Dec. 9. They are listed by the roadway they affect: I-35 (Hays County)

• The inside lane of the northbound access road will be closed between Yarrington Road and RM 150 until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

I-35 (Travis County)

• The inside lane on the southbound access road will be closed between 7th and 5th Streets 10 p.m. Tuesday-6 p.m. Wednesday.
• Various northbound access road closures between Onion Creek and Slaughter Lane 8 p.m.- 5 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.
• The southbound access road will be reduced to one lane between SH 45 and Parmer Lane 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
• The northbound access road will be reduced to one lane between SH 45 SE and Slaughter Lane 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
• One lane closed on the southbound access road between Reinli Street and 53rd Street 8 p.m. Wedneday-5 a.m. Thursday.
• The southbound inside lane will be closed between Wonsley Drive and US 183 9 p.m. Wednesday-5 a.m. Thursday.
• The southbound inside lane will be closed between Williamson Creek and William Cannon Drive 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.
• The northbound inside lane will be closed between Slaughter Lane and Stassney Lane 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.
• The southbound outside main lane and the inside lane on the southbound access road will be closed between Powell Lane and US 183 9 p.m. Thursday-5 a.m. Friday. The entrance ramp to I-35 will also be closed.
• Various closures of the outside lane on the northbound access road between Riverside Drive and Sunnyvale Street 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday.

I-35 (Williamson County)

• The north-to-south turnaround at Hwy. 79 will be closed 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Thursday. The northbound outside lane will be closed between the Hester’s Crossing entrance ramp and RM 620 9 p.m.-midnight Thursday. The RM 620 exit will also be closed. Hwy. 79
• The eastbound outside lane will be closed under I-35 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Thursday. US 183
• The northbound main lanes and access road will be closed between Manor/Springdale Road and US 290 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday. Traffic will detour north on Springdale Road to US 290.
• The turnarounds in both directions at Manor/Springdale Road will be closed until further notice. Drivers will use the intersection.

SH 71

• Alternating eastbound single lane closures between Spirit of Texas Drive and Golf Course Road 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.
• Reduced to one lane each direction between US 183 and Kellam Road 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 8 p.m.-10 a.m. Friday-Saturday, and 7 p.m.- 10 a.m. Saturday-Sunday.
• No access to/from Cheviot Lane for six weeks. Detour via Terry Lane.
• No access to/from Fallwell Avenue, Bessie Avenue, and Royster Avenue at westbound SH 71 for six weeks. Fallwell Avenue traffic detours via SH 130 access road. Bessie and Royster Avenue traffic detours via Eva Street and FM 973.
• Westbound traffic has shifted to temporary lanes between Ross Road and FM 973 until further notice. The traffic shift extends to Terry Lane. An entrance ramp is open so traffic can access to overpass at FM 973.

• Reduced to one northbound outside lane between Enfield Road and 45th Street entrance ramp 9 p.m.-6 a.m. through Thursday.
• The northbound entrance ramps from Cesar Chavez Street and 6th Street will be closed 9 p.m.-6 a.m. through Thursday. Traffic will detour up the access road to the next ramp.
• Reduced to one southbound lane between 45th and 35th Streets 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.
• Reduced to one southbound inside lane between Anderson Lane and Far West Boulevard 8 p.m.-5 a.m. through Thursday. The entrance ramp from Anderson Lane and the Far West Boulevard exit will also be closed.
• Reduced to one northbound inside lane between Duval Road and Parmer Lane 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday.

RM 150

• One lane traffic control with flaggers between Lux Road and SH 21 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through Friday and Dec. 15-17.

Parmer Lane

• Various closures in both directions at Riata Vista Circle/Legendary Drive (east) 8 p.m.-5 a.m. through Thursday.

FM 972

• One lane traffic control with flaggers between I-35 and FM 1105 7 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday.

FM 973

• Reduced to one lane. Traffic control with flaggers between SH 71 and Green Grove Drive 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday.
• Reduced to one lane each direction south of SH 71 for 1,000 ft. until further notice.

FM 1460

• The inside lane will be closed in both directions between Hwy. 79 and Plateau Vista Boulevard 9 a.m.- 3p.m. through Thursday.
• No access to or from High Tech Drive until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive.

RM 2244 - Bee Cave Road

• The eastbound outside lane will be closed in various locations between Buckeye Trail and Sundown Parkway 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Friday.

Enfield Road

• The westbound outside lane will be closed under MoPac until 3 p.m. Friday. High Tech Drive
• Closed at FM 1460 until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive. Levander Loop
• The southbound lane on the east side of Airport Boulevard will be closed under US 183 8 p.m.-6 a.m. through Thursday. Detour via 7th Street, Shady Lane and Cesar Chavez Street to Levander Loop and northbound US 183.
