The Travis County Commissioners Court reviewed its fiscal year 2013 budget during its Aug. 7 meeting.
The average taxpayer, with a homestead valued at $216,542 after exemptions, can expect to pay $18 more if the court approves the budget Sept. 25.
The average tax bill would rise from $1,060 to $1,078.
The tax rate is expected to rise 1.45 cents, from the effective rate of 48.34 cents per $100 of valuation to 49.79 cents per $100 of valuation. The county scheduled public hearings on the tax rate at 9 a.m. Sept. 11 and Sept. 14.
