Officials with Antioch Georgetown hope to hold the grand opening for their second church building Nov. 22, Associate Pastor Stephen Castleberry said.
The new church will be located off SH 130. The congregation currently meets downtown at 111 W. 10th St.
The details
There are two services planned at the southeast location Nov. 22 and 29. After that, both locations will have live preaching and worship starting Dec. 6, Castleberry said. The timeline is contingent on construction and permitting.
Rather than building one large venue to host everyone, Castleberry said they wanted to expand to another location so congregants can go to church with people who live near them.
"For us, opening a second location has never been about a building," Castleberry said. "It's about people. Georgetown is growing, and we want to make it easier for more of our neighbors to find community, build meaningful relationships, and experience the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ."

What else
Castleberry said Antioch was planted in 2017 by 25 adults plus children who left Central Arkansas.
Sunday services feature contemporary worship and practical biblical teaching in a casual atmosphere, Castleberry said. The church also offers programming for kids and teens, as well as small groups and life courses for all stages of life.
"We would love to invite our neighbors throughout Georgetown and the surrounding communities to come visit, meet some new friends, and see what Antioch is all about," Castleberry said.
