Look out for these area road closures

The Texas Department of Transportation announced the following Austin-area road closures Nov. 5. -Nov. 11. The following roads will be affected:

I-35 (Hays County)

• The inside lane of the northbound access road will be closed between Yarrington Road and RM 150 Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m-3 p.m.
• The inside lane of the southbound access road will be closed between Cabelas Drive and Robert S. Light Boulevard until further notice.

I-35 (Travis County)

• Various closures on the southbound access road between Onion Creek and Hays County 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday.
• Various closures on the northbound access road between SH 45 and Slaughter Lane 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday.
• The northbound outside lane will be closed between Onion Creek and the Slaughter Lane exit 9 p.m. Sunday-5 a.m. Monday.
• I-35 will be reduced to one southbound lane between 15th Street and 3rd Street 10 p.m. Sunday-5 a.m. Monday.
• The outside lane on the southbound access road will be closed between Concordia Avenue and Luther Lane 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday.
• The outside lane on the southbound access road will be closed between Barwood Park and Powell Lane 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday.
• The southbound access road will be reduced to one lane between William Cannon Drive and Slaughter Lane 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
• The outside lane on the southbound access road will be closed at Little Texas Lane for half a mile 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday and then Wednesday through Friday.
• The northbound outside lane will be closed at SH 45 from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
• Southbound exit 235A for 15th Street/ML King Boulevard will be closed 10 p.m.-midnight Monday. Use exit 236 as an alternate route.
• The southbound outside lane will be closed between the 1st-4th Street exit (#234B) and 3rd Street midnight Tuesday-6 a.m. Wednesday.

I-35 (Williamson County)

• Various closures on the access roads in both directions at Hwy. 79 8 p.m. Monday-5 a.m. Tuesday. Police will direct traffic at signals.

Hwy. 79

• Various closures in both directions between Mays Street and Chisholm Trail 8 p.m. Monday-5 a.m. Tuesday. Police will direct traffic at signals.

US 183

• Multiple moving closures in both directions between SH 71 and Lava Hill Road 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
• The south to north turnaround at Loop 1 (MoPac) will be closed 10 p.m. Saturday-6 a.m. Sunday, and 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.
• The southbound lanes will be closed across the Colorado River 6 p.m. Sunday-6 a.m. Monday and 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday-Friday. Traffic will detour at the Montopolis Drive exit to cross the river on the old bridge.
• Reduced to one southbound lane between Hwy. 290 and Loyola Lane 6 p.m. Sunday-6 a.m. Monday and 8 p.m Monday-6 a.m. Tuesday.
• The turnarounds in both directions at Manor/Springdale Road will be closed until further notice. Drivers will use the intersection.

Hwy. 290

• The eastbound outside lane will be closed at Hudson Loop 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
• The eastbound flyover ramp to northbound 1-35 will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday-4 a.m. Wednesday. The ramp to southbound I-35 will remain open.
• The westbound outside lane will be closed between Old Fredericksburg Road and William Cannon Drive 9 p.m. Thursday-midnight.
• The outside lane on the eastbound access road will be closed west of Parmer Lane until further notice.

SH 71

• Multiple moving closures in both directions between Onion Creek and Bastrop County 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
• The east to west turnaround at Spirit of Texas Drive will be closed through November.
• No access to or from Cheviot Lane after 10 a.m. Saturday for six weeks. Detour via Terry Lane.
• No access to or from Fallwell Avenue, Bessie Avenue and Royster Avenue at westbound SH 71 for six weeks. Fallwell Avenue traffic detours via SH 130 access road. Bessie and Royster Avenue traffic detours via Eva Street and FM 973.
• Westbound traffic has shifted to temporary lanes between Ross Road and FM 973 until further notice. The traffic shift extends to Terry Lane. An entrance ramp is open so traffic can access to overpass at FM 973.

SH 95

• Various closures in both directions between CR 452 and FM 1466  8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

• The southbound inside lane will be closed between US 183 and Far West Boulevard 10 p.m Friday- 6 a.m. Saturday. The entrance and exit ramps in this area will also be closed.
• Alternating southbound single lane closures between Windsor Road and the Colorado River from 10 p.m. Friday-6 a.m. Saturday. The exits to Lake Austin Boulevard, 5th Street and Cesar Chavez Street will also be closed. Traffic will shift to new lanes during these hours.
• Reduced to one northbound outside lane between the 35th street exit 10 p.m. Friday-7 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Sunday-Thursday. The northbound entrance ramp from 6th Street will be closed 10 p.m-6 a.m. Saturday and Monday. Traffic proceeds to the next ramp.
• The southbound frontage road and first Steck Avenue exit will be closed 10 p.m. Saturday-6 a.m. Sunday and 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.
• Reduced to one southbound lane between Waters Park Drive and the Union Pacific Railroad south of Duval Road 8 p.m. Sunday-2 a.m. Monday. The entrance ramp from Duval Road will be closed 11 p.m.-2 a.m.
• Various southbound closures between Steck Avenue and Far West Boulevard  8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday, and Tuesday-Thursday. The Sunday closure will be the right lane only, and the Tuesday-Thursday closures will be the right two lanes. The entrance ramps from Steck Avenue and Anderson Land and the Far West Boulevard exit will also be closed.
• The northbound outside lane wil be closed between the 45th Street exit and RM 2222 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday and Monday.
• The inside lane of the northbound access road will be closed between Loop 360 and Spyclass Lane 10 a.m.-noon, Monday-Saturday through Nov. 22.
• The southbound entrance ramp from Steck Avenue will be closed 8 p.m. Monday-6 a.m. Tuesday.
• The southbound outside lane will be closed between Far West Boulevard and RM 2222 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday. The ramps in this area will also be closed.
• Reduced to one southbound outside lane approaching Hancock Drive 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Tuesday-Thursday.
• The northbound outside lane will be closed between Enfield Road and Westover Road 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Expect entrance and exit ramp closures in this area at various times during these hours.
• The northbound entrance from Steck Avenue and the US 183 exit at various times 10 p.m. Tuesday-6 a.m. Wednesday.
• The southbound exit to US 183 will be closed 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
• The southbound outside lane will be closed between US 183 and the Steck Avenue exit 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The Steck Avenue exit will be closed Thursday night.

Aquarena Springs Drive

• Various eastbound closures between Charles Austin Avenue and Mill Road 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Work includes a traffic switch Wednesday night.

Airport Boulevard

• Closed at US 183 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic will detour north on US 183 to Bolm Road.

Loop 360/Capital of Texas Highway

• Alternating lane closures in both directions between Lamar Boulevard and Loop 1, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.

RM 620

• Multiple inside lane closures in both directions at Lohmann’s Crossing 8 p.m. Friday-6 a.m. Saturday.

FM 685

• No access to or from Uvalde Drive in Hutto until further notice. Detour via Knowles Drive.

Parmer Lane

• Various moving closures in both directions between I-35 and Dessau Road 6 a.m.-9 a.m. Saturday.

FM 972

• One lane traffic control with flaggers between I-35 and FM 1105,  7 a.m.-5 p.m.  Monday-Thursday.

FM 973

• Reduced to one lane each direction south of SH 71 for 1,000 ft. until further notice.

FM 1460

• The inside lanes will be closed in both directions between Hwy. 79 and Pleateau Vista Boulevard 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday.
• No access to or from High Tech Drive until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive.

RM 1826

• One lane traffic control with flaggers between Reunion Ranch and Nutty Brown Road 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.

RM 2244 - Bee Cave Road

• Various closures in both directions between Redbud Trail and Westlake Drive 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday.
• The eastbound outside lane will be closed between Redbud Trail and Sundown Drive 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.

FM 3177 - Decker Lane

• One lane traffic control with flaggers between West Crest Lane and Daffan Lane 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Enfield Road

• Reduced to one lane in each direction under Loop 1 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.

High Tech Drive

• Closed at FM 1460 until further notice. Detour via Quail Valley Drive and Texstar Drive.

Loyola Lane

• Reduced to one westbound lane between Millrace Drive and US 183 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
• Reduced to one westbound lane between US 183 and Bridgewater Drive 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
