As a fast growing region, the Dripping Springs and Southwest Austin areas have seen a slate of housing developments in the past year, from single-family homes to apartment complexes. Check out a list of developments from the past year.
Cannon Ranch
The development offers single-family homes, with floor plans from three- to five- bedroom units, one- to two-story homes and garage options.
The second phase of the luxury community launched in March. The new phase will bring 25 two-and three-story modern-style homes to the West Oak Hill area. The development includes three- to four-bedroom floorplans.
The over 60-acre residential area, called Escala Hills, will combine modern architecture with Hill Country elements into the single-family homes, officials said. There will be 30 homesites available, with an average lot width of 150 feet, according to the developer website.
The Southwest Austin development offers 23 move-in-ready townhomes ranging from $240,000 to $320,000. Buyers must meet the income-qualifying requirements, earning at or below the 80% Austin median family income of $133,800. Officials from Industry ATX, developer of the project, said the new townhome community aims to make homeownership possible for the city’s “critical workforce—teachers, musicians, office administrators, bartenders and others who contribute to the city’s vibrancy but struggle to afford a market-rate home.”
