Two bakery concepts within Rose Haven Event Venue—custom cake creator Cakes Rock and retail bakery Rose Haven—will close this June. The event venue, owned by local Christy Seguin, will remain open.
The overview
Seguin originally opened Rose Haven last summer as both a bakery and event venue. It expanded upon Cakes Rock's retail front, when the old location on South Congress Avenue was too small to continue operating in, Seguin said.
Seguin said recent cost increases have made keeping the bakeries open unsustainable.
