Chelsea Schizas remembers the tiny salon in Bakersfield, California, that her mother took her to almost every day after school when she was a child.
“I listened to these ladies have such an amazing connection chatting about their lives, and I enjoyed the environment so much,” Schizas said. “I knew from a young age that I would be in the beauty industry. I wanted to be in that atmosphere.”
Chelsea and her husband, Demitri Schizas, opened their first brick-and-mortar salon Sept. 15 at 2400B Hwy. 290, Ste. 7, Dripping Springs. Little Lauretta’s Powder Room is named for Chelsea’s mother, she said.
The salon specializes in lashes and offers services including lash extensions, lash lifts, lash tints, henna brows, full-body waxing, roll-on sunless tans, facials and chemical peels. Schizas said she is looking to expand into more intensive skin care procedures in the future, such as nano needling, microneedling, injectables and lasers.
