New food trailer Good BBQ Company began serving diners in East Austin earlier this year.
The business first opened in March but launched its full menu and new hours of operation in June.
On the menu
Good BBQ Company serves barbecue inspired by various parts of the United States, including Texas and Alabama. The menu features brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs and sausage alongside cole slaw, bacon macaroni and cheese, creamed corn and baked beans.
The background
The veteran-owned business was started by owner and pitmaster Daniel Monplaisir. The business supports Mission Possible Austin's initiatives to serve youth and underprivileged residents in East Austin, Monsplaisir said in an email.
Something to note
With the Founder’s Club Membership, diners can receive one free plate of barbecue per day for life, he said.
