As the expansion of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport continues, the city is looking to bring new retailers and concessions for travelers at both the main and temporary terminals.
What's happening
The multiyear expansion, Journey with AUS, will add new facilities such as new taxiways, a second passenger concourse, an additional parking garage and other improvements.
Also included is the $164 million extension of the existing Barbara Jordan Terminal's west side, which is now underway and expected to open later this year. A temporary terminal, Concourse M, will also be built and later converted into a freight facility once its extra gates are no longer needed after the expansion initiative wraps up.
