Fueled by an increased focus on noninvasive procedures targeting the face and body, the popularity of medical spas, or med spas, has skyrocketed, according to a study published by market research company Future Market Insights.
Although set in similar settings, med spas differ from traditional day spas as med spas utilize medical professionals to address concerns like acne scarring, age spots, sagging skin and more.
“Unlike conventional day spas that solely focus on relaxation and pampering services, medical spas such as Spa Sway Westlake offer a diverse range of cosmetic procedures and treatments that are overseen by medically licensed professionals,” Founder of Spa Sway Rei Leigh Harmer said.
Founder of Hiatus Spa + Retreat Sheila Garrison echoed that statement, adding that the med spa experience helps keep people looking and feeling their best from the inside out.
