A new pub dedicated to streaming women's sports has opened in downtown Austin, just in time for the start of March Madness. 1972: ATX Women's Sports Pub opened on Guadalupe Street near The University of Texas at Austin campus on March 19. The pub takes over the space previously housing Moody's Kitchen and Bar, which closed in January.

Mass grading begins on Amazon site in Round Rock

Dirt is turning on the Amazon site at CR 172 in Round Rock, after receiving approval for mass grading of the site in March. This is the first step in the process of preparing the site for construction, said Bradley Dushkin, Round Rock's director of planning and development services.

Cedar Park breaks ground on new hotel and convention center

Members of Cedar Park City Council came out on April 14 to mark the beginning of construction for a new hotel and convention center. The city officially broke ground on the future site of a Marriott Hotel at 750 E. New Hope Drive. The hotel will be Cedar Park’s first full-service hotel, according to previous reporting.

Comedy club opens inside existing New Braunfels restaurant

A new comedy club named Tom's Comedy Club opened within the existing Tommy John's Tailgate restaurant at the beginning of March. Tom's Comedy Club holds weekly comedy shows on Friday and Saturday with open mic nights on Tuesday. Patrons attending a show can also order food and drinks from the restaurant's menu.

Trader Joe’s to open new North San Antonio location

Trader Joe’s is opening a new location along I-10 in the Huebner Oaks Center. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project is a $900,000 interior renovation and alteration of an existing 14,562-square-foot building, with construction estimated to begin June 2 and be completed Dec. 2. The store is estimated to open in 2026.
