1. FM 110 construction

Hays County and the Texas Department of Transportation will begin work this spring on the middle section of FM 110, a planned loop around the city of San Marcos. 2. I-35 ramp construction

Three northbound entrance and exit ramps on I-35 between the Blanco River and FM 150 in Kyle will be reversed. Two southbound entrance and exit ramps between the Blanco River and FM 150 will also be reversed. A new northbound exit ramp will also be built between the Blanco River and Yarrington Road. Timeline: spring 2016-summer 2017 Cost: $8.97 million Funding sources: Hays County, TxDOT

3. FM 967 improvements

The project, which will add sidewalks, shoulders, widened lanes and a center turn lane on FM 967, is expected to open to traffic in February. The final paving on the project has been delayed until spring due to cold temperatures. The project area includes the 2.6-mile span of FM 967 from Cole Springs Road to FM 1626 in Buda. 4. Marketplace Avenue extension

The project, which will provide improved north-south mobility, is more than halfway complete. Kyle officials expect the three-lane extension to be completed on schedule and within the approved budget. Timeline: September 2015-June 2016 Cost: $3.8 million Funding sources: city of Kyle

5. Sessom Drive improvements

Work on Sessom Drive in San Marcos, due to begin in spring 2016, has been delayed to spring 2017 to allow for utility relocation. Erosion controls will be added and sidewalks and intersections will be improved on the portion of Sessom from Aquarena Springs to North LBJ drives.
