2. Hunter Road resurfacing

TxDOT awarded a contract to Ramming Paving to repave the 1-mile span of Hunter Road from Moore to Bishop streets in San Marcos. Construction will last one month when it begins this spring.

3. Goforth Road improvements

The city of Kyle is adjusting utilities to allow for the reconstruction of the portion of Goforth Road from I-35 to Bunton Creek Road. The road will include three lanes in some areas and four lanes in others. The city expects to award the contract for construction in March.

4. Aquarena Springs Drive overpass

Temporary lane closures have begun within the project area, which includes the portion of Aquarena Springs Drive from Thorpe Lane to Charles Austin Drive in San Marcos. In early December drainage work was nearly complete. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction in mid-February.

5. Hwy. 123 overpass

TxDOT is constructing an overpass on Hwy. 123 in San Marcos that will span Wonder World Drive. The overpass will include two travel lanes in each direction, and access roads on each side will have two lanes in each direction. Both sides of Hwy. 123 were cleared in November to facilitate the road’s expansion.
