Hays County reacts to severe thunderstorm that swept through area today

The University Star, Texas State University's student-run newspaper, has reported extreme weather, including flooding and hail, at multiple student-housing complexes including the Cabana, the Edge and Uptown Square.

A severe thunderstorm has hit Hays County, and the National Weather Service is warning of large hail in western and central portions of the county, including Dripping Springs, Wimberley and Bear Creek.
The NWS has issued a flash-flooding warning for southern Hays and western Caldwell counties until 3 p.m. today.
The county has issued a warning to stay indoors. An urban and small stream flooding advisory is also in effect throughout Hays, Blanco and Comal counties.

Residents in San Marcos are reporting flash-flooding conditions.
According to a National Weather Service alert at 11:57 a.m. on Tuesday, flash-flooding is expected to begin shortly in San Marcos. San Marcos residents are also receiving flood warnings and other notifications.It's already flash flooding in San Marcos ? #KVUE pic.twitter.com/MUO6vIfSFV
