The agreement allows Seton to market its services during sporting events at the university. On Aug. 22, Seton clarified the agreement does not require it to provide health services to students and athletes at Texas State and that the arrangement is a sponsorship, not an agreement of exclusivity.
The Texas State University Athletics Department significantly increased the size of its team Aug. 13 when the university announced a marketing partnership with Seton Healthcare Family.
"Seton and Texas State are similar in a lot of ways," Texas State President Denise Trauth said during a press conference at Bobcat Stadium. "Seton has long been a presence in Central Texas and has long cared about the quality of life here."
Seton paid a fee to be named the athletics department's exclusive health sponsor and will receive advertising opportunities throughout the season including game sponsorship and signage on scoreboards.
