On April 9, about 2 miles of I-35 access roads in Kyle are set to be converted from two-way traffic to one-way traffic.
The change affects the lanes on either side of I-35 from Center Street to Kyle Parkway.
"We're trying to get the word out every way we can because we know there's going to be a lot of confusion those first couple of weeks," Hays County Precinct 2 Commissioner Mark Jones said. "Old habits are hard to break."
Jones said the outmoded system of two-way traffic had proven to be too unsafe for the heavy number of vehicles entering and exiting I-35.
