The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon Tuesday.

Hays CISD Superintendent Michael McKie will give a presentation and answer questions related to the district’s May 2017 bond initiative at a luncheon Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. The bond would fund $250 million for several projects, including construction of three new school campuses, as well as a variety of facilities, equipment and technology projects. 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. $20. San Marcos Planning & Zoning Commission meets Tuesday.

The planning & zoning commission meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall. This week’s nonconsent agenda includes one item, related to a permit allowing the sale of mixed beverages at Kobe Steakhouse, 210 Springtown Way, San Marcos. The restaurant is relocating to the building, which was formerly occupied by Applebee’s.

"Mardi Bra" is Tuesday night at Buda UMC. 

The Buda United Methodist Church hosts “Mardi Bra,” which aims to collects women’s underwear and hygiene products for distribution to clients of the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center, on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The event also includes a pancake supper, king cake and games. 6:30 p.m. Free.
