Lowe's signs lease for 120,000-square-foot distribution center in Kyle

Lowe's, the Fortune 500 company and home improvement store, has signed a lease to occupy a significant portion of Kyle Crossing Business Park with a 120,000-square-foot distribution center.

This is according to a press release from Plum Creek, a 2,200-acre, master-planned community one block west of I-35 that contains the Kyle Crossing Business Park, located at 1980 Kohlers Crossing, Kyle.

When reached for further comment, a representative from Plum Creek said they were not able to provide information on timelines for when Lowe’s would be moving into the business park.

Kyle Mayor Travis Mitchell said in the release that the inclusion of the Lowe’s distribution center is helping to position the city as an up-and-coming logistics hub.

"Kyle Crossing has proven that Kyle is a highly desirable location among marquee companies at an opportune time when more and more of these businesses are expanding their logistics operations,” Mitchell said.

The July announcement of a new 307,840-square-foot Amazon sortation center at Kyle Crossing further bolsters Mitchell’s statement, as does an announcement from representatives at Plum Creek in its press release regarding South Korea-based ENF Technology, which is in the process of building a $45 million U.S. headquarters in Kyle.
