Road improvements are en route for Bunton Creek Road in Kyle.
City Council approved a $2.03 million contract with BGE Inc. for the final design of Bunton Creek Road improvements April 16.
Project details
The project will straighten out the curves along Bunton Creek Road between Lehman Road and Goforth Road, and also increase capacity between Lehman Road and Porter Cove. The project also plans for one roundabout at Bunton Creek Road and Goforth Road South, according to agenda documents.
How we got here
In November 2022, voters approved a road bond for eight transportation projects across 10.3 miles of Kyle to improve the city's transportation network.
City Council approved Bunton Creek Road’s alignment, design features and final schematic in January, according to agenda documents.
Looking ahead
The project is anticipated to go out to bid in January 2026, and road improvements as slated to be completed in January 2027.
