The city of Kyle announced June 1 that applications for various openings on boards, commissions and committees are now open through Aug. 31 for terms beginning Oct. 1. The city relies on feedback and expertise provided by the volunteers who serve on the boards, commissions and committees, according to a press release.
Openings for the city include but are not limited to:
- the arts commission;
- the train depot board;
- the library board;
- the ethics commission;
- the planning and zoning commission;
- the parks and recreation board; and
- the Kyle Economic Development and Tourism board
Applications will be screened, and if they meet the city code criteria, the will be pooled for council consideration at a special meeting held before Sept. 30. Applicants are encouraged but not required to attend the special meeting.
