Local gamers looking for plans this weekend can look no further than the 11th annual ChupacabraCon, a convention packed with tabletop gaming, board games, panels, tournaments and more, benefiting charity.

ChupacabraCon will take place May 30- June 1 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Marcos Hotel Conference Center.
Presented by Austin Creative Pathways, a nonprofit organization that aims to prepare underserved youth for careers in the tabletop gaming industry, ChupacabraCon is a family-friendly event and will feature tabletop games, collectible card games, board games and role-playing games.

According to the schedule of events, some of the games to be played include Magic: The Gathering, Red Dragon Inn, Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons and more.
The event’s panels and seminars will include topics such as “Beyond Beer and Pretzels: Pairing Wine, Spirits, and Games” and “Indie Development: Creation of Wyrdwarp & Other Games.” ChupacabraCon's special guests will include writers, game designers, and other gamers and hobbyists.

ChupacabraCon will raise proceeds for Extra Life, a program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that fundraises for critical treatments and healthcare services.
