The Buda Economic Development Corporation will offer two free CPR and First Aid certification trainings this summer. While the initiative is designed to support local businesses by helping them train employees, the sessions are open to the general public.
The trainings are scheduled for:
- May 31 (currently full, according to the Buda EDC website)
- June 2 (spots still available)
According to the event description, participants will learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving adults, children and infants. Topics will include cardiac arrest, choking, sudden injuries and illnesses.
The program stems from the Buda EDC’s Business Retention and Expansion department, which focuses on the success and growth of existing businesses. After hearing from local businesses about the need for CPR and first aid-certified employees during on-site BRE meetings, the EDC responded by launching the training opportunity.
