Election Day 2020 Update: city of Kyle's Props A and B pass in unofficial vote count

UPDATED AT 10:32 p.m.

With all precincts in Hays County reporting, Propositions A and B have passed with 55.49% and 56.23% of the vote respectively.

Results are updated as of 10:34 p.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4, if they were sent from inside the U.S., or Nov. 9 if they were sent from outside the U.S.

A pair of propositions in the city of Kyle totaling $47 million in bond issuance for a public safety facility and city parks are showing favorability in early voting numbers for Hays County.

Proposition A, which seeks $37 million for a new police station and emergency operations center in Kyle, has 55.48% of the vote so far, with 8,993 in favor and 7,215 against it.

Proposition B, which seeks $10 million for the planning, designing, improving and acquisition of land for parks throughout the city, has so far garnered 56.08% of the vote, with 8,934 in favor and 6,998 against it.
