The Texas State University System Board to Regents, which oversees seven public higher education institutions, has re-elected William Scott as chair of the board and David Montagne as vice chair, according to a Nov. 15 news release.

Scott has been on the board since 2013 and was just reappointed earlier this year. He is the CEO, chair and co-owner of Trans-Global Solutions—a railroad contracting firm—and chair and general partner of TGS Development. He graduated from Lamar University, which is part of the Texas State system.

Montagne was first appointed to the board in 2009 and reappointed in 2015. He is the executive vice president and general manager for the Sabine River Authority of Texas. He has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Lamar University.

The nine members of the Texas State board of regents are appointed by the governor for six-year terms and subject to state Senate confirmation.
