Scott has been on the board since 2013 and was just reappointed earlier this year. He is the CEO, chair and co-owner of Trans-Global Solutions—a railroad contracting firm—and chair and general partner of TGS Development. He graduated from Lamar University, which is part of the Texas State system.
Montagne was first appointed to the board in 2009 and reappointed in 2015. He is the executive vice president and general manager for the Sabine River Authority of Texas. He has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Lamar University.
The nine members of the Texas State board of regents are appointed by the governor for six-year terms and subject to state Senate confirmation.
