Filmed in Wonder World Park, "When We Burn Out" focuses on a tight-knit group of slacker youths working in the park in the '1980s. After the park’s owner Buddy perishes in a tragic accident, his son Mike—a recent college graduate with unsavory habits—must deal with his father's death and run the park with help of his ragtag group of friends. A director's cut of "When We Burn Out" will be shown at the Lost River Film Fest on Nov. 3 at Wonder World Cave and Park,1000 Prospect St., San Marcos at 7 p.m.
