Budaful Tavern, formerly known as JParks Chophouse & Saloon, closed its doors at 407 N. Austin St., in Buda on Nov. 24, according to a social media post.
"We have tried and exhausted all avenues to keep the doors open, but the financial toll has proven too great to overcome," the post states.
The background
JParks Chophouse & Saloon temporarily closed in April for renovations that would match the restaurant's new concept—Budaful Tavern—according to previous reporting by Community Impact. Owner Jeff Parks, who also owns Mudbugs, said the Budaful Tavern concept was more rustic with a "throwback" feel.
