Kyle's La Verde Park splash pad repairs set for mid-October completion

According to a memo sent by Kyle Administrative Services Director Rosie Truelove, the project will greatly enhance the splash pad’s functionality and safety, helping to maintain its value as a key recreational resource for the community.

The upgrade will include:

• Modern safety features
• Automated alerts and diagnostics
• Simplified maintenance

Following a review of multiple repair estimates, the city selected Kraftsman Commercial Playground & Water Parks’ proposal of $286,500, plus a 5% construction contingency for a total contract amount not to exceed $300,825.

The meeting packet states that $6,000 of the repairs are allocated in the fiscal year 2025-26 budget, while the remaining balance will be paid with Tax Incremental Reinvestment Zone No. 2, or Brick and Mortar District, funds.
