In an effort to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, two local hospitals have made adjustments to policies for the safety of visitors, patients and staff.
BS&W Health enacts changes
Baylor Scott & White Health in Buda will screen visitors at designated entry points. Patients will be allowed one visitor during visiting hours each day, waiting rooms will be closed to large groups and the hospital has suspended entry to those under the age of 16.
CTMC event canceled
The Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos has canceled its HealthCheck event on May 1, according to a post by the hospital. Also canceled are all business blood draws and additional screenings leading up to the event. If a blood draw was made, results will be mailed in the coming weeks.

Relocation of clinic
For the health and safety of patients, team members, providers and the community, Central Texas Medical Center announced Live Oak Health Partners walk-in clinic has relocated to 1920 Corporate Drive, Ste. 208, San Marcos. The clinic, according to a hospital announcement, will serve patients 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Dr. Pharm’s office has relocated to 1320 Wonder World Drive, Ste. 101, San Marcos.
Visiting hours changed
Central Texas Medical Center has restricted access to two entry points. The main entrance is accessed from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. and the emergency department can be accessed 24/7.
Visitation hours are now 6 a.m.-8 p.m. and each patient is allowed one healthy registered visitor per day who is at least 18 years of age. Visitors will be screened before entering the hospital.
