Hays County reports 160 new coronavirus cases June 22, more than 1,300 in two weeks

After 57 new coronavirus cases Saturday and 103 reported in Hays County on Sunday, new cases on June 22 rose to 160.

Overall, the county now has 1,871 confirmed cases with 1,477 considered active. Hays County has tested 7,795 residents and 14 are currently hospitalized. Five have died from coronavirus

According to Hays County Local Health Department statistics, a spike of cases began June 8. There have been 1,370 new cases reported in the last 14 days.
