A project filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation registered in late February shows the 2,695-square-foot facility will cost an estimated $540,000 to renovate. It will include a reception area, interview rooms, a blood draw area, an office and storage.

We Are Blood was founded in 1951 as the Travis County Medical Society Blood Bank. The nonprofit has since expanded to serve 10 Central Texas counties, providing donated blood to area hospitals.
