The company will also introduce an IPA this summer, Woffenden said. Other seasonal beers will likely follow.

Woffenden said the company plans to begin distributing to restaurants and bars from South Austin to San Marcos.

In addition to brews, customers will have the option to sample offerings from food trucks that will be parked at the brewery on most days, Woffenden said.

Inside the brewery, picnic tables provide a place for customers to relax while partaking in their drinks. A window in the tasting room offers customers a view of the production area, where shining vats alchemize hops, grain and barley into beer.

Woffenden said a lot of thought went into the brewery’s tasting room. The company wanted to maintain a social aspect to the business.

Howell said the community that tends to grow around breweries is one of his favorite aspects of his work.

“Not only are you providing [customers] a product, you’re also providing a social atmosphere as a consequence of giving them something that they can enjoy,” Howell said.

A decade after he created his first batch on the homebrew system he received as a Christmas present, Woffenden is preparing to bring his dream to reality and to the public.

“For me it sounds kind of corny, but [brewing] is kind of an artistic outlet,” Woffenden said. “I’m able to create something. The beauty of it is at the end you’ve got beer. That’s always fun.”

Buda backs the brewery

In 2015, the city of Buda approved an economic development incentive that will pay $13,000 to Two Wheel Brewing Co. for costs related to impact fees, building construction and utility connections.

The agreement stipulates that the brewery must create 10 jobs by Dec. 31, 2019, and must invest at least $500,000 in capital improvements and equipment.

The brewery is expected to generate $50,000 of  tax revenue during the next 10 years.
