The projected opening date for a Taco Palenque in San Marcos has been pushed back from this fall to 2025, according to a company representative.

Construction of a new building in place of an abandoned Burger King on the I-35 frontage road began earlier this year. Crews are on track for the restaurant to open in the summer of 2025.

Taco Palenque is a Laredo-based restaurant chain serving tacos, enchiladas, burritos and more.
