San Marcos residents will receive more guidance on travel preparations with the opening of a Texas State University passport services office.
After being designated a U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility by the U.S. Department of State, the university plans to open its new office in the Thornton International House on March 3, according to an email sent to Community Impact. Acceptance agents will process applications for U.S. passport books and passport cards at the office.
A closer look
The new office will serve not only students, faculty, and staff, but also residents of San Marcos and surrounding areas, according to the office's website. The facility will process applications for new, lost or stolen, and minor U.S. passports using the DS-11 form.
