The franchise location—owned by Michael and Joanne Jordan—is located within the Aquarena Crossing development. Jersey Mike's Subs serves freshly sliced and grilled subs, which are on baked bread made in-house. Jersey Mike's Subs also offers catering.
Crunch Fitness
The exercise facility offers a variety of workout equipment, classes and personal training sessions.
Chipotle
The Mexican grill opened its third San Marcos location inside the Aquarena Crossing development. Chipotle serves customizable bowls and burritos and also offers catering. The new location also features the brand’s signature Chipotlane drive thru pick-up lane.
Mattress Warehouse
The store is owned by Buda residents Brett Wagner and his fiancé Rachel Cleary. Aside from mattresses, the Mattress Warehouse sells pillows, sheets, mattress protectors and box springs.
3 Kings Barbershop
The barbershop, also called 3KB, is owned by Jacob Ferguson and John Cardenas. 3 Kings Barbershop is a full-service barbershop and caters to men’s haircuts.
Starbucks
The coffee chain sells a wide variety of hot and iced coffee beverages. Starbucks also sells frappuccinos, refreshers, teas, breakfast sandwiches and more.
Sundance Print Centers
The Central Texas-based print shop is owned by father and son Tony and Blake Mansfield, who have two other locations in San Antonio and New Braunfels. Sundance Print Centers offers color and black and white printing as well as signage, banner, poster and sticker printing.
Headwaters Plant Boutique
The plant shop is locally owned by Jessie Pagan and Rhiannon Metcalf. Headwaters Plant Boutique sells house plants, cacti and succulents.
Giggle and Grow
The San Marcos campus—located at the former Kid Ranch Christian Preschool site, which closed Dec. 22—participates in the Texas Rising Star Program and offers childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5-years old, according to its website.
Martindale Yoga & Wellness
The locally owned yoga studio is owned by Jessy Napier and Madeline Stone. Martindale Yoga & Wellness offers Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin classes and workshops as well as meditation and sound baths.

The watch retailer sells men and women's watches and watch cases.
Buckle
The retailer sells men's, women’s and children’s clothing, footwear and accessories.
Amax Auto Insurance
The auto insurance company provides low-cost insurance for vehicles and commercial and non-commercial properties, according to its website.

The dentist offers Invisalign and oral surgery. MyDental also offers cosmetic, emergency preventative and restorative dentistry.
Domino’s
The pizza chain offers pizza, wings, pasta and sandwiches. The Domino’s menu also includes salads, over-baked dips and desserts.

Mindful Hands Massage
Owner Gudjon Bergmann has moved his mobile business into Hays County Physical Therapy and Wellness in San Marcos. The physical therapy clinic is owned by Nicole Laird. In addition to Swedish relaxation massages, deep tissue massages and full body stretching, Bergmann now offers sports massages and trigger point therapy.
In the news
Paul Peña Park Improvements
Park improvements cost about $205,714, and were funded by Community Development Block Grant and park improvement funds. The improvements to the park included replacing playground equipment, adding shade and turf, and extending the sidewalk to create an ADA-compliant loop around the park, according to a news release. The park was also re-dedicated to its namesake, Paul Wenceslaus Peña who grew up in San Marcos and attended San Marcos Baptist Academy.

Kava Kava Down
The shop was locally owned by MJ Keith and offered a selection of Kava-based beverages that could have been mixed with peach nectar, cherry-flavored or pineapple juice. Kava Kava Down also sold carnival-style foods such as street tacos, pretzels, cotton candy and queso.
