Chicken Salad Chick announced the opening of its newest location at the Amberwood Retail Center, located at 19037 I-35 in Kyle. The grand opening celebration will take place Aug. 19.
What’s on the menu
The new location features a drive-thru, in-restaurant dining, take-out, and catering options. The menu offers a variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, fresh sides, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and desserts, according to a news release.
The Kyle location is operated by OberRoc LLC, which comprises business partners James Oberg, Jeff Rochelle, George Shaw and Rosemarie Acerra. The group operates five Chicken Salad Chick restaurants throughout the region, including New Braunfels, Stone Oak, Roadrunner, Westover Hills and Boerne—with plans to expand in the future.
“While many of our group’s restaurants are based in greater San Antonio, Kyle marks our first outside of Austin. Kyle is such a fun and unique city, and we believe residents here will embrace what we have to offer,” said Jeff Rochelle, co-owner of Chicken Salad Chick of Kyle. “We’re excited to uphold Chicken Salad Chick’s mission to ‘Spread Joy, Enrich Lives, and Serve Others’ in Kyle very soon.”
The local impact
The company established the CSC Foundation to support the nonprofit CURE Childhood Cancer and local food banks through fundraisers hosted throughout the year. The Kyle location will also be raising money for Christus Children’s Hospital during the pre-opening family and friends events at the new location, according to the release.
Before you go
The community is invited to participate in the grand opening of the new Kyle location. On Aug. 19, the first 100 guests in line will have the chance to win free chicken salad for a year. Throughout the first week after the restaurant opens, the business will offer daily promotional events to the first 50 customers each day, according to the news release.
