Aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners in Buda can grow their knowledge and community connections this June during the Buda Economic Development Corp., or Buda EDC, and Buda HIVE’s BEE2B economic development series.
The overview
BEE2B week is a development series designed to celebrate, connect and grow the city’s entrepreneurial community, according to a Buda EDC news release. The week features four events, including:
- Buda Early Entrepreneurs Market, June 20 at Buda City Hall: 405 E. Loop St., Buda
- Coffee with the HIVE Cohorts, June 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Nate’s Coffee and Cocktails: 306 S. Main St., Ste. 101, Buda
- Entrepreneur Camp: Reach for the Stars, June 26 at Johnson High School: 4260 RM 967, Buda
- Buda-ful Fest: Entrepreneur Camp 2026, evening of June 26 at Buck’s Backyard: 1750 FM 1626, Buda
The Buda Early Entrepreneurs, or BEE, Market gives children and teens in the community the opportunity to sell their own products and services to the public. The BEE2B 2026 theme, “Reach for the Stars,” encourages these young entrepreneurs to view this opportunity as a launch for their products, according to the news release.
“It's so much fun because it highlights our young entrepreneurs,” said Jacquie Martinez, director of HIVE and business support. “It's been a lot of fun to highlight these young people who have different items that they sell and services that they do.”
Coffee with the HIVE Cohorts is a gathering event for business owners who have experienced the Buda HIVE program.
HIVE is a home for “innovators, visionaries and entrepreneurs” in the city, supported by the Buda EDC, Martinez said. The cohorts are composed of entrepreneurs who attend weekly meetings and business classes to learn industry basics and how to apply them to their businesses.
Diving deeper
Entrepreneur Camp: Reach for the Stars will be a full-day event featuring sessions led by industry experts covering business development, marketing strategy, financial planning and emerging industry trends, according to the release.
The camp is designed to show what Buda entrepreneurs are capable of, highlight the support small businesses receive from the Buda EDC and recruit small business owners from surrounding areas into the city, Martinez said.
“In years past, we have had people come in from Hutto, Cedar Park, Leander and all the way from New Braunfels to attend this entrepreneur camp, with hopes that they're going to move here or bring their businesses here to Buda,” Martinez said.
Top vendors from the BEE Market will serve as featured panelists at the entrepreneur camp, presenting their business models and products.
The final event of the development series, the Buda-ful Fest: Entrepreneur Camp 2026, will give business owners who complete the HIVE program the opportunity to meet the public, Martinez said.
“For some of them, it will be their first time to ever share their new business, name, logo, services or the items in which they create,” Martinez said. “It's a great opportunity for the community to come out and support them as well.”
