Beginning Oct. 9, the northbound mainlanes of I-35 from Schertz Parkway to FM 3009 will have nightly closures.
The overview
The closures are part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Project, which aims to expand the roadway from Loop 410 to FM 3009.
Work will include milling and overlay operations, which has an expected completion date of Oct. 15.
Construction will only be held between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day. During construction, traffic will be detoured off the mainlanes to the frontage road. Closures are subject to change due to weather.
