Two road projects in Fair Oaks Ranch are underway, while TxDOT continues construction along Loop 1604. Check out the latest on these three transportation projects.
Fair Oaks Parkway turning lane to Front Gate construction begins
The project: A new left-turn lane is being added from northbound Fair Oaks Parkway onto Front Gate. This improvement is planned to help congestion of northbound traffic on Fair Oaks Parkway. The project will add 2 feet of pavement to the median and 1 foot to the outside shoulder while realigning the lanes.
The update: Fair Oaks Ranch City Council authorized the project Feb. 5. According to the Feb. 5 agenda, this adjustment improves turning movements, sight distance and clearance for motorists exiting Front Gate onto eastbound Fair Oaks Parkway. Construction began March 3 and is expected to take three weeks to complete. During construction, the center median will be closed, and detours will be placed at Heritage Trail and Lesslie Pfeiffer Drive.
- Timeline: March-April
- Cost: $87,000
