I-35 NEX Program announces weekend closures

As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Program, the Texas Department of Transportation announced a weekend long road closure.

The details

According to a press release, I-35 southbound will be closed at Rittiman Road from 11 p.m., Nov. 15 until 5 a.m., Nov. 18 for drainage work.

Motorists traveling on southbound I-35 frontage road at Rittiman Road and eastbound on Rittiman Road towards I-35 South will follow detour signs to northbound I-35 frontage road, through the turnaround at Eisenhauer Road and use the entrance ramp between Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road to enter I-35.

Motorists traveling westbound on Rittiman Road towards I-35 South will follow detour signs to the northbound I-35 frontage road, through the turnaround at Eisenhauer Road and use the entrance ramp between Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road to enter I-35.

All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
