I-35 entrance ramp near Shin Oak Drive to close June 7-15

As part of the ongoing closures due to the I-35 Northeast Expansion Central Project, the entrance ramp to I-35 located near Shin Oak Drive will be closed beginning June 7.

What you need to know

The access ramp from northbound frontage road to I-35 will close for striping, barrier and construction entrance work, according to a May 31 Texas Department of Transportation news release.

With the ramp closure, traffic will be detoured to the eastbound frontage road of Loop 1604, where there will be a turnaround to access I-35.

Construction at the entrance ramp will begin at 9 p.m. on June 7, and end around 5 a.m. on June 15.

This is one of many ongoing closures as TxDOT works to install 9.5 miles of elevated lanes along I-35 from Loop 410 to FM 3009. Additional information on the I-35 NEX project can be found here.
