San Antonio City Council approved an ordinance authorizing a joint use agreement with CPS Energy for utility infrastructure upgrades at the San Antonio International Airport on Dec. 5.
What you need to know
This ordinance allows CPS access to the SA Airport for the purpose of installation, construction, repair and replacement of underground electrical lines, electrical equipment and facilities. The ordinance also approves reimbursing CPS Energy for their work for an amount not to exceed $2.5 million.
The agreement will support SA Airport complex upgrades over the next 5-10 years and ensures resilient feeds from secondary power sources.
