To combat flooding conditions near Coker Elementary School, San Antonio city officials will reconstruct Perennial Drive and install an underground storm drainage system.
The gist
According to city documents, Perennial Drive does not have a drainage system, which causes excessive water to flood onto the roadway. Though the area lacks drainage, the street and sidewalks are in good condition.
Construction will include two 12-foot lanes, nine-foot shoulders and four-foot sidewalks. The project will run along approximately 0.2 miles of Perennial Drive from Heimer Road to Dutch Myrtle Drive.
