The Cibolo Parking Lot, located near Plant Avenue in Boerne, is planned for renovations. On Feb. 5, city staff and officials broke ground on the project, which is expected to be under construction for three months.
The details
On Feb. 16, the lot is planned to be closed to the public for the duration of the renovation project, which will include:
- New asphalt, curbing, and striping
- Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalks
- New entry and exit along Mesquite Street
- New dark sky-compliant lighting
- Upgraded signage identifying public parking
- Enhanced landscaping
The number of parking spaces is not expected to change, but the existing spaces will be slightly wider, allowing easier parking for larger vehicles.
