Battle Intense road construction wrapping up, raised sidewalks to be completed at a later date

The initial construction of Battle Intense between Cibolo Valley and Cibolo View was completed during the week of March 10-14. The final step of the project construction will be on the raised sidewalks.

The overview

Due to extensive cracking, pothole patching and loss of base material, the pavement condition of Battle Intense was rated poor to very poor pavement condition, according to the city website.

The road was one of the four projects listed in the 2024 bond package, which aimed to improve road infrastructure in the city.

On March 17, striping for the crosswalk began, leading to minimal traffic impacts and delays, according to a city announcement.

Following the road work and striping, the final step of the project will be the construction of the raised sidewalks, which is expected at a later date.
