Lookout Road
The reconstruction of Lookout Road from Schertz Parkway to Doerr Lane is currently in the design phase, according to agenda documents from the May 6 Schertz City Council meeting.
Right-of-way acquisition at the Schertz Parkway and Doerr Lane intersections is underway, and city staff will work with the Schertz Economic Development Corporation on public outreach for the project. Also part of the project are traffic signal installation at the Lookout Road and Schertz Parkway intersection, and replacement and upsizing of the existing sanitary sewer main.

- Funding source: Schertz Economic Development Corporation, city of Selma contributing $20,000 toward design and $100,000 toward construction
The project will reconstruct 2.9 miles of Lower Seguin Road to widen and improve the section identified in the city’s master thoroughfare plan. Final design project plans are currently under review.
City Council will take action on a resolution to pursue federal Defense Community Infrastructure Program, or DCIP, funding sometime in May, according to agenda documents.
